Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking an Acute Care Physical Therapist to evaluate plans and administer PT treatment in an acute care setting. You will restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability for a wide age range, from neonates to older adults.

The role requires an active PA or NJ PT license and CPR certification. Doctorate degree is preferred, and experience supervising PTAs and staff is valued.

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist license in the State of Pennsylvania or New Jersey (based on work location).
• CPR certification required.
• Doctorate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial patient evaluations and documents thoroughly and accurately.
• Establishes realistic short- and long-term goals with each patient.
• Implements and revises progressive treatment programs and modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation, whirlpool).
• Supervises PTAs and aides on premises and trains new staff.
• Performs discharge planning and educates patients and families.
