Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum six (6) months experience in an acute mental health treatment setting.
• Graduate of an accredited Psychiatric Technician Program or eligible for California licensure as a Psychiatric Technician.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and ability to document data clearly.

Responsibilities

• Establish therapeutic relationships and communicate with patients using various channels.
• Administer medications and treatments and monitor vitals.
• Document physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Coordinate care milestones with the treatment team and facilitate class/workshops.
• Participate in unit activities and contribute to data collection and documentation.
• Maintain awareness of patient condition and notify care team of concerns.
• Support milieu management and assist with ongoing patient care plans.
