Job summary

Corona Regional Medical Center is seeking a Social Worker (LCSW/LICSW) for a per diem position in the locked adult psych unit. The role focuses on education for patients and families to cope with mental illness and treatment regimens, while supporting discharge planning and community reintegration.

The position requires an LCSW, two years of clinical mental health experience, a Master's degree in a related field, and a recent BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills required; knowledge of patient rights, guardianship, conservatorship status.
• Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a related field is required.
• Assaultive Behavior Management training certificate within 90 days of hire.
• LCSW license is required; BLS (CPR) certification from the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide education and psychoeducation to patients and families to assist them in coping with psychosocial problems related to acute and chronic mental illness and treatment regimens.
• Lead process groups and staff development/training; participate in utilization review and quality management.
• Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments to inform care planning and discharge planning.
