Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking an Acute Post Op Registered Nurse to join our team. The role involves assessing and coordinating care for post-op patients, with a focus on telemetry and family support.

Qualifications include BSN, Texas RN license or Compact with Texas license within 90 days, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and 1 year Med/Surg experience in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
• ACLS Certification required within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year of Med Surg clinical experience as an RN in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for assigned patients.
• Participate in activities to plan, measure, assess and improve quality of patient care.
• Charge the unit as needed.
• Assess patients with telemetry monitoring.
• Maintain a customer-friendly atmosphere.
• Model and reinforce teaching for patients, communicate status to the healthcare team, and support families.

Education

BSN is required

Current Registered Nurse License in Texas or Compact License with Texas license within 90 days
