Job summary

Corewell Health's Pain Management department at Royal Oak Hospital is seeking a part-time registered nurse to join our outpatient clinics team. You will provide specialized nursing care, coordinate with physicians and families, and support patients through IV therapies, wound care, and nutritional guidance.

Responsibilities include implementing policies, educating patients, and acting as a resource within the interdisciplinary team. 20 hours weekly, day shift, with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• 3 years of recent acute care nursing experience
• Michigan RN license held and active
• BLS certification required (AHA/ARC)
• Specialty certification required within 1 year of hire
• NLN approved nursing program from an accredited school

Responsibilities

• Provides specialized nursing care to patients with illnesses or complex conditions.
• Acts as liaison between patient, family, physicians, and interdisciplinary team.
• Administers IV medications, blood/blood components, and IV fluids; monitors responses.
• Provides wound care, nutritional guidance, and psychological support to patients and families.
• Interprets and implements nursing policies and procedures.
• Functions as a clinical and community resource, educator, and consultant.
• Coordinates care based on physician-initiated treatment protocols without direct supervision.
• Duties as assigned based on specialty or service line.
