Job summary

MedStar Washington Hospital Center, part of MedStar Health, seeks an Acute Occupational Therapy Supervisor to lead a small team of staff therapists with some direct patient care as needed. Based in our Level 1 Trauma Center, you will oversee evaluations, treatment plans, and documentation.

You will coordinate daily operations with leadership, manage scheduling and coverage, promote efficient use of services, and support program development and referrals across the care continuum.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
• Occupational Therapist licensure in District of Columbia (DC).
• CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation).
• 3-4 years clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting with demonstrated expertise.

Responsibilities

• Provides evaluation and treatment services including assessments and documentation.
• Supervises staff therapists and coordinates day-to-day operations with leadership.
• Coordinates daily staffing and patient scheduling to meet productivity and service demands.
• Participates in program development, expansion, and improvement with leadership and team members.
