Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in nursing required.
  • 1 year recent acute care experience or equivalent nursing practice.
  • Current California RN license required.
  • Current BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
  • Written and verbal communication and computer skills required.
  • Training opportunities may be considered for those with less than 1 year acute care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine physical/psychosocial assessments and follow care plans.
  • Formulate a care plan for individual patient needs and transitions.
  • Adapt education and information to patients and families during care.
  • Ensure efficiency and identify immediate priorities to solve problems.
  • Make independent clinical decisions based on education and experience.
  • Advocate for patient rights and resolve conflicts when needed.
