Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) for the Acute Inpatient unit on days. This full-time role involves direct patient care, teaching, committee participation, and leading efforts in clinical improvement while modeling NM values of Patients First, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence.

You will evaluate and treat patients from admission to discharge, coordinate with the healthcare team, document accurately in the EMR, and support department goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Illinois OT license required.
• BLS from American Heart Association required.
• Masters or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care and treatment planning.
• Teaching and supervision of students and interns.
• Participate on committees and lead process improvement.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Adhere to NM Ethics and Compliance.
