Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Austintown, OH is seeking a Hemodialysis Technician to provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Hemodialysis RN in the acute dialysis suite.

You will assist with equipment setup, monitor vital signs, document in EMS and ACES, and support safety and infection control while contributing to quality goals and patient comfort. The role requires a high school diploma and may require CMS certification within state guidelines; travel between facilities may occur.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CMS-approved state and/or national certification within required state or CMS timeline.
• Effective communication skills – verbal and written.
• Ishihara Color Blindness test required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direct supervision of the Hemodialysis RN.
• Report and document incidents, information, complaints, or problems to the RN.
• Set up and prime equipment as directed; ensure safety of dialysis treatment per policy.
• Obtain pre/post treatment vital signs and weight; report unusual findings.
• Document treatment information in EMS and ACES.
• Assist in cannulation reporting and intervention as directed by RN.
