Job summary

Core Dialysis, headquartered in Houston, Texas, seeks an experienced Acute Dialysis Registered Nurse to deliver safe, patient-centered care across acute care hospitals and related facilities. You will administer dialysis, monitor patients, document medications, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

This role offers full-time or PRN flexibility, with shifts Monday through Sunday and on-call duties. Certification is welcomed but not required; ACLS valued.

Qualifications

• Texas RN license required.
• BLS CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 2 years acute nursing experience; dialysis experience preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to lift and reposition patients and equipment.
• English proficiency; bilingual candidates encouraged.
• Flexibility to work at least 32 hours per week, including on-call shifts.
• COVID-19 vaccination or qualified exemption per policy.

Responsibilities

• Administer acute dialysis procedures following established safety guidelines.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis and provide comfort.
• Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop individualized patient care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and provide critical care as needed.
• Educate patients and families about dialysis, treatment plans, and lifestyle changes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in medical records.
• Adhere to policies, equipment checks, and regulatory standards.
