Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a clinically skilled individual to join the hemodialysis health care team in Akron, OH. The role involves direct patient care under RN supervision, maintaining a safe environment, and supporting quality improvement initiatives.

Candidate must hold a CCHT or CMS-benent certification, have 1–2 years of related experience, and be able to perform dialysis-related procedures under supervision per physician orders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CCHT or Benent certification required.
• 1–2 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under the supervision of the FMCNA RN for assigned patients in the acute setting.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
• Promotes and participates in QEP and QAI activities to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes.
• Assist in meeting Total Area Productivity goals (TAP).
• Set up and prime equipment for renal replacement therapies as directed by the Fresenius Nurse.
• Record vital signs, weight, and treatment parameters accurately on treatment sheets.
• Initiate and monitor dialysis treatment per orders, including QB/QD settings.
• Collect and deliver specimens per policy.
• Respond to intradialytic issues as directed by the physician and RN.
