Responsibilities

• Processes medication orders and evaluates their appropriateness with respect to patient data.
• Uses clinical pharmacy skills to assess patient regimens and provide recommendations for safety, efficacy and cost-effectiveness.
• Documents activities in EMR and related databases and maintains communication with providers.
• Drives professional development and assists with training of staff.
• Prepares and dispenses medications, including sterile or non-sterile, in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Oversees day-to-day operations and supervises pharmacy staff and workflow.
