Job summary

Banner Health in Wheatland, Wyoming, seeks a pharmacist to serve as the clinical expert, delivering pharmaceutical care and optimizing medication therapy for patients. You will evaluate and monitor drug therapy, collaborate with the healthcare team, and supervise pharmacy technicians.

You will ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, participate in quality improvement, and support documentation and communication with prescribers and staff.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Pharmacist licensure in the state of practice.
• Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
• AZ Wallet Card or state-equivalent may be required in some locations.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process medication orders and evaluate their appropriateness with respect to patient data.
• Assess patient regimens to ensure safety, efficacy and cost-effectiveness.
• Document activities in the EMR and other databases.
• Provide training and onboarding support for staff.
• Prepare and dispense medications, including sterile or non-sterile preparations.
• Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations and supervise technicians and interns.
