Job summary

TriHealth is seeking an Acute Care Tech II in the Observation Unit to support nurses and clinical staff in caring for high-acuity patients. This on-site, part-time night role at Good Samaritan Hospital focuses on safe patient flow, documentation, and rapid response coordination under RN supervision.

The ideal candidate will have BLS certification, 2 years of high school, and experience with hospital communication systems, including pagers and multi-line phones.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of high school education.
• Age 17 with work permit.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Reading and math proficiency appropriate for role.
• Experience with multi-line phones, call systems, and pagers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic patient care tasks under RN supervision.
• Support patient flow and communication using hospital phones and pagers.
• Maintain a safe, clean care environment and report hazards.
• Initiate emergency calls per hospital protocol.
• Assist with medical record maintenance and clerical duties.
• Communicate respectfully with patients and staff.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available and functional.
