Job summary

HSHS St. John's Hospital seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to join the Inpatient/ Acute Care Speech Therapy team in Springfield, IL. The candidate will evaluate patients and develop, implement, and execute treatment plans as outlined by the plan of care.

Responsibilities include delegation of therapy services, acting as an educator for patients, families, students, and co-workers, and engaging interdisciplinary teams to advance patient care and therapy programs.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program meeting licensure requirements in the state of practice.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• BLS certification or completion within first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop and implement treatment plans per care plan.
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services.
• Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and colleagues.
• Engage and develop interdisciplinary teams as part of patient care.
