Job summary

Benefis Health System is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to administer and direct speech/language pathology services across various units. The role includes treating patients referred by physicians and supervising students, within a supportive rehabilitation team.

Eligible candidates hold a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology with current state licensure and may participate in CFY/practicum pathways. Benefis emphasizes growth, comprehensive benefits, and a balanced work-life environment.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an approved program.
  • Current state licensure in Speech Pathology.
  • May work on an active temporary permit during CFY or practicum and must complete within one year.
  • Knowledge of infection control and sterile technique.

Responsibilities

  • Administration and direct application of speech/language pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a physician.
  • Evaluates, plans, directs, and treats patients referred to speech/language pathology.
  • Supervision of students.
  • Handle pressure to meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing boards and Benefis Health System policies.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for administration and direct application of speech/language pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician.
  • Evaluates, plans, directs, and treats all patients referred to speech/language.
  • Will also provide supervision of students.
  • Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations.
  • Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.
  • Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned.
  • Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency.
  • Must comply with all Benefis Health System's organization policies and procedures.
Education/License/Experience Requirements
  • Holds a Master's degree from an approved college or school of speech/language pathology.
  • Current State Licensure in Speech Pathology (as Speech Pathologist).
  • May work on an active temporary permit for those who are in their clinical fellowship year or clinical practicum and/or who are waiting to take the national examination.
  • Must complete this requirement within one year.
  • Knowledge of principals and practice of speech pathology.
  • Performance of technical skills related to speech pathology.
  • Knowledge of infection control, sterile technique and related impact on rehabilitative medicine practice and equipment.
  • Current BLS certification.
