Job summary

Benefis Health System seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate, plan, and administer speech therapy in patients' homes. The role requires a Master’s or Bachelor's in Speech-Language Pathology, a current state license, and CCC-SLP certification, with at least 1 year of professional experience.

Prior home health experience is preferred. Applicants will follow Benefis Health System policies and regulatory requirements, delivering care with accuracy under deadlines in a dynamic environment

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current state license to practice Speech-Language Pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan and administer speech therapy modalities for home health patients.
• Provide therapy as prescribed by a physician to improve articulation, voice, language, or swallowing disorders.
• Maintain compliance with licensing standards and Benefis Health System policies.

Evaluates, plans and administers comprehensive speech therapy modalities/regimens as prescribed by a physician to patients with speech, voice, and language, cognitive-communicative and oral-pharyngeal swallowing disorders in their place of residence for the purpose of improving and/or restoring speech and/or swallowing functions. Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict. Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health System's organization policies and procedures.

Education/License/Experience Requirements:

• Current valid state Speech Therapy license required
• Master's/Bachelor's Level Graduate in the area of Speech Therapy or Speech Pathology from an accredited university or college required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology awarded by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association required
• One year of work experience
• Prior home health experience preferred
• For Medicare Certified Agencies: Meets the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech pathology or audiology granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association; or Meets the education requirements for certification and is in the process of accumulating the supervised experience required for certification
