Job summary

Benefis Health System is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join an inpatient therapy team. You will be assigned to critical care, pediatric, and medical units within a level 2 trauma center, providing comprehensive assessments and treatments.

New graduates are welcome and scheduling is flexible to fit lifestyles. Sign-on bonus options up to $30k with starting hourly base pay of $36.69.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of Occupational Therapy.
• Temporary licensure as governed by the State Practice Act.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current License from the State of Montana.

Responsibilities

• Perform age- and diagnosis-specific assessments and treatments.
• Provide education related to treatment, disease process and prevention of further injuries.
• Delegate aspects of care to the OTA or Rehabilitation aide when appropriate.
• Demonstrate ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations.
• Follow all licensing, organizational policies and procedures.

• Responsible for performing age and diagnosis specific assessment and treatment relevant to the patient’s/resident’s/client’s individual needs.
• This assessment may include cognitive, sensory, neuromuscular, perceptual motor skills, psychosocial skills, functional daily living and work‑related skills, and home/work/community environments.
• Provides education related to the treatment program, disease process and prevention of further injuries to the patient/resident/client and other members of the health care team.
• Delegates aspects of care to the OTA or Rehabilitation aide based on their job description.
• Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations.
• Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.
• Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned.
• Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency.
• Must comply with all Benefis Health System’s organization policies and procedures.

Education/License/Experience Requirements:
