HCA Healthcare's St. David's South Austin Medical Center is seeking a Social Services Supervisor to assist the Social Work Manager in daily department operations and to support patient, staff, and physician satisfaction within the ICARE framework.

The role involves supervising staff, interviewing new applicants, delivering staff orientation and ongoing education of competencies, and ensuring adherence to processes and procedures across the social work team in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work required.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Social Worker in an acute care setting.
• Active license with the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day department operations alongside the Social Work Manager.
• Promote positive satisfaction among patients, employees and physicians within ICARE Values.
• Interview new applicants and provide staff orientation and ongoing education of staff competencies.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the supervision of the Social Work Manger and Director of Case Management/ERSW, assists in the functions of the day to day department operations concurrently with maintaining a patient load. Promotes positive patient, employee and physician satisfaction staying vigilant to the ICARE Values. The Supervisor will assist the department Social Work Manager to meet productivity, interview new applicants, provide staff orientation, continued education of staff competencies, processes and procedures.

What qualifications you will need:

Education & Experience:

• Masters Degree Social Work Required
• 3 - 5 years recent experience as a Social Worker in an acute care setting

Licensure, Certifications, Training:

• Active License with the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners Required
