Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for PRN weekend coverage. The SLP will evaluate and treat inpatients and outpatients, adhering to hospital policy, JCAHO standards, and ASHA ethics.

Strong communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams is essential to address speech, language and swallowing needs. Qualifications include maintaining an active Florida SLP license and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Remain current FL State SLP License.
• Remain current BLS Cert.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent evaluation and treatment to inpatients and/or out-patients in compliance with policy and ethics.
• Deliver interventions for individuals with communication and/or oral-motor deficits; communicate effectively with patients, families, staff and physicians.
• Plan, organize and work independently or in teams; perform other duties as assigned.
