Job summary

CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs, part of CommonSpirit Health, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join an established team delivering specialized cardiopulmonary care.

You will perform breathing treatments, ventilator management, and oxygen therapy while applying keen assessment skills and critical thinking in routine and emergent situations. The role emphasizes urgency, calm under pressure, and strong problem-solving to support patient well-being.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory.
• Must have an unencumbered license to practice in the State of Arkansas.
• Registry required (NBRC).
• BLS and ACLS from American Heart Association required.
• Successful NBRC examination for Registered Respiratory Therapist completed.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and evaluates patient data; collects additional information via exam and bedside parameters.
• Performs and evaluates peak flows/Spirometry before and after bronchodilators.
• Completes thorough assessment of patients.
• Communicates critical information to physicians, nurses, and inter-disciplinary team.
• Proactive in Ventilator Discontinuation; follows ventilation care documentation and bundle guidelines.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory

Unencumbered license to practice in the State of Arkansas

NBRC registration
