Job summary

Community Memorial Healthcare in Ventura, CA is seeking a registered nurse (RN) to provide general nursing care in hospital settings, plan and communicate patient and family education, and participate in unit-based educational activities.

The role requires CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, and at least six months of acute care experience; Stroke/Sepsis education within 6 months. A BSN is preferred, with potential for growth and cross-training in PCU.

Qualifications

• Current CA RN license and active credentials.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Stroke/Sepsis education competency within 6 months.
• BSN preferred; 1+ year Med-Surg or Telemetry encouraged.
• Knowledge of DNV regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care to hospital patients and educate patients and families.
• Participate in unit-based educational activities and documentation.
• Explain procedures and treatments clearly to gain patient understanding.
• Cross-train in PCU as department needs require.
