Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Acute Care SRO Float Pool to provide direct patient care across multiple units. This role emphasizes adaptability, autonomy, and continuous learning within a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

You will rotate through General Medicine, Oncology, Cardiology, Transplant, and other specialty areas, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based care and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN within 5 years of hire preferred.
• 1 year of relevant nursing experience or as required by role.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across Acute General Medicine and specialty units.
• Adapt quickly to different patient populations and interdisciplinary teams.
• Deliver care aligned with evidence-based practice and UVA Health standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Support staffing needs across high-demand areas and contribute to system-wide care quality.
