Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care under general supervision in a hospital setting. An Associate Degree in Nursing is required, with two years of RN experience in the specialty or LPN experience with director approval.

Candidates must hold current Maryland RN licensure and BLS certification. Additional certifications (ALS, PALS, NRP) may be required for specialty areas upon hire.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
• Two years RN experience in the specific specialty area, or LPN experience at GBMC with director approval.
• Current Maryland RN license and BLS certification through an affiliated American Heart Association training site.
• Additional certifications (ALS, PALS, NRP) are required upon hire for specialty areas.
• Proficiency in developing nursing plans of care, implementing effective nursing care, and evaluating outcomes of nursing interventions.

Responsibilities

• Compiles database and formulates nursing diagnoses.
• Utilizes physical assessment and interviewing techniques.
• Anticipates need for intervention by other disciplines.
• Determines priorities for patient care needs or problems.
• Reassesses the patient as indicated by condition changes and response to treatment.
