Qualifications

• Active RN license in the applicable state.
• Nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Previous medical unit or acute care experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.
• BLS certification as required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients’ health status and clinical needs.
• Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and prescribed treatments.
• Provide wound care and other nursing procedures within scope of practice.
• Assist patients with mobility, daily care, and recovery activities.
• Recognize and promptly report changes in patient condition.
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and clinical nursing standards.
