Job summary

SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) is seeking an Acute Care Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care across the lifespan in an inpatient setting. The role emphasizes clinical assessment, interdisciplinary collaboration, and safety, with on-call responsibilities as needed.

The RN must be licensed in Alaska, hold required certifications, and demonstrate strong judgment, communication, and documentation skills within SEARHC’s standards.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate’s degree in Nursing and an active Alaska RN license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
• Competent in nursing judgment, patient safety, and collaboration with the care team.
• Experience with electronic health records and interdisciplinary coordination is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions and patient responses.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and policy.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and escalate when needed.
• Provide patient and family education related to care and discharge needs.
• Deliver culturally responsive, patient-centered care.
