Job summary

Palmetto-General-Hospital in Florida is seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist to initiate, administer and monitor respiratory therapy for patients across all ages. The role includes competency in mechanical ventilation for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients and accurate documentation of therapy per protocol.

Candidates should have at least one year of acute care experience and hold a Florida CRT or RCP license with BLS and ACLS; PALS within 30 days and NRP within 60 days.

Qualifications

• One year of hospital experience preferred.
• One year of critical care experience preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Initiates, administers and monitors respiratory therapy.
• Monitors mechanical ventilation on neonatal, pediatric and adult patients.
• Documents therapy according to protocol.
• Collaborates with medical staff to facilitate patient care.
