Job summary

Keck Hospital of USC is seeking a Registered Nurse to join an interdisciplinary team. The RN will apply the nursing process to provide therapeutic care, coordinate patient care and education for patients and families in a compassionate, safe environment.

Responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments, developing and revising plans of care, administering medications, ensuring accurate documentation, and collaboration with Case Management for discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current Registered Nurse license for California required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to follow policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments upon admission, at each shift, and with change of condition.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care with measurable outcomes.
• Administer medications and IV therapies per orders and policies.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with case management for discharge planning and transitions.
• Maintain accurate documentation across care plans, MARs, and flow sheets.
