Job summary

Phoenix Specialty Hospital is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will assist with gait training, therapeutic exercises, and patient education for adults and seniors in a hospital setting.

The role requires CAPTE-accredited PTA education, active Arizona PTA certification or PT Compact privilege, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Arizona PTA license or valid PT Compact privilege to practice in Arizona.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in acute care or inpatient settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations under the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Completes treatment sessions and documents patient progress in the medical record.
• Monitors patient status and responds to changes per Plan of Care.
• Educates patients and families on home exercises and safety.
• Participates in quality improvement and multidisciplinary care planning.
