Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our acute care therapy team. You will assist in inpatient and outpatient settings under a Physical Therapist, deliver treatments, document progress, and support student training.

Applicants must graduate from an accredited PT program, hold or be eligible for Alabama licensure, and maintain CPR certification. This role offers PSLF eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package in a leading health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited PT program.
• Current licensure or eligibility to licensure in Alabama.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Physical Therapist, administer physical therapy treatment according to established professional standards and uphold patient safety.
• Complete patient-related documentation ensuring content and timeliness to meet professional requirements and regulatory specifications.
• Participate in clinical training of students and interns.
• Work in Acute Care, Inpatient Rehabilitation and/or Outpatient areas as assigned.
