Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for an acute care float position in New Jersey. You will deliver rehabilitative treatments under the supervision of a physical therapist, and contribute to patient progress documentation and continuous care improvements.

The role requires an PTA Associate degree, NJ licensure, and CPR certification. Shifts may cover multiple divisions to meet patient needs, with a Sunday-Thursday 8:00–4:30 schedule.

Qualifications

• PTA must hold an Associate degree from an accredited program.
• Current licensure in New Jersey is required.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Consult with medical staff and other professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient operations.
• Provide PT interventions per plan of care and relay patient status to the supervising PT.
• Maintain patient records and documentation in accordance with guidelines.
• Utilize aides and support staff effectively to support patient care.
• Educate patients and families, tailoring information to age and cultural needs.
