Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a Part-time Physical Therapy Assistant to float across divisions as needed. The role runs 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Sunday through Thursday, totaling 20 hours per week.

This on-site position supports acute care services and requires a current NJ license and CPR certifications. Performs rehabilitative treatments under a PT, records patient progress, and collaborates with the care team to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an APTA-accredited program.
• Current licensure in New Jersey.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Consults with medical, ancillary professionals and other team members to provide optimum quality patient care and effective operations.
• Provides physical therapy interventions consistent with the plan of care and communicates patient status to the physical therapist.
• Maintains and completes patient records and documentation in accordance with guidelines.
• Effectively utilizes aides and other support staff as appropriate.
• Educates patients and families about care per age, condition and cultural needs.
