Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is seeking a Physical Therapist PRN Acute to join our team in Houston, TX. You will evaluate patients, create therapy plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions to restore mobility and relieve pain.

You will monitor progress, educate patients, and collaborate with care teams while mentoring assistants. This PRN role supports our mission to improve human life every day.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in TX is required.
• Masters/BA/BS/Doctorate in therapy program required.
• 1-2 years acute care facility experience required.
• BLS/CPR must be obtained within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient abilities and develop personalized treatment plans with physicians and care team.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to restore movement and reduce pain.
• Monitor progress, adjust plans, and document outcomes timely.
• Educate patients and families on exercise and safety practices.
• Collaborate across disciplines for cohesive patient-centered care.
• Mentor therapy assistants or students, upholding our values.
