Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to join our patient-centered team. The role requires a minimum of three shifts per month, including two weekend shifts and one weekday shift, with a two-week onboarding and quarterly availability planning.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited physical therapy program and eligibility for Texas licensure, CPR/BLS (or equivalent) upon hire, and no prior experience required (new graduates welcome).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited physical therapy program and eligibility for licensure in the State of Texas.
• No prior experience required.
• CPR/BLS certification upon hire or LPT licensure eligible in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Has knowledge of therapeutic principles and practices while maximizing patient safety and treatment potential.
• Identifies and records problems on evaluation with realistic goals.
• Designs treatment plans based on patient problems and goals; monitors progress.
• Prepares for patient discharge with organized documentation and resource planning.
• Fosters teamwork and two-way communication among staff.
• Organizes patient treatment time efficiently.
• Records patient progress concisely and timely.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
