Job summary

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist to support acute care with potential cross-training in inpatient rehab. The role involves patient evaluation, goal-driven treatment planning, and age-appropriate care in a on-site Saint Petersburg, FL setting.

PRN coverage is required across both weekday and weekend shifts. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's or higher in Physical Therapy, Florida licensure (temporary permitted), and BLS certification, with experience in acute care

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in physical therapy.
• Current Florida Physical Therapist license; temporary permit acceptable.
• Current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients and gathers data from the patient, physician, and interdisciplinary team.
• Develops treatment plans with specific goals and observed outcomes.
• Demonstrates safe use and maintenance of equipment and explains its purpose to patients.
• Treats patients across the age spectrum appropriate to assigned caseload.
• Re-evaluates and modifies treatment plans as needed.
• Provides care aligned with unit policies and procedures.
• Adheres to applicable practice acts and standards; ensures complete documentation and billing.
