Job summary

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL, is seeking a Physical Therapist for on-site, acute care coverage with cross training in inpatient rehab. This PRN role requires weekday and weekend coverage to support patient care across the acute unit.

You will perform examinations, develop treatment plans, ensure patient safety, and document care and billing accurately while maintaining compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physical therapy or higher.
• Florida Physical Therapist license (or eligible).
• BLS/Healthcare Provider certification current.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients and gathers data from patients, physicians, interdisciplinary teams, families, and other sources.
• Develops and implements treatment plans with goals aligned to the care continuum.
• Uses appropriate equipment safely and communicates its purpose to patients and families.
• Delivers age-appropriate care and adjusts plans for patient growth and development.
• Re-evaluates and updates treatment plans as needed to achieve outcomes.
• Adheres to state practice acts and professional standards.
