Job summary

BSA Health System in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Day shift, PRN Acute Care Physical Therapist to join our team. You will perform examinations and evaluations, establish functional diagnoses and plans of care, and provide PT interventions to patients in an acute care setting.

The role requires Texas licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. Previous acute care or clinic experience is preferred, with opportunities to collaborate with other professionals and contribute to discharge

Qualifications

• Current Texas state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Previous acute care or clinic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document examinations and evaluations.
• Establish functional PT diagnosis, prognoses and plans of care.
• Formulate treatment goals.
• Provide physical therapy intervention to patients.
• Measure and report outcomes; formulate and carry out discharge plans.
• Supervise licensed and non-licensed assigned staff or students.
• Interact and practice in collaboration with other professionals.
• Adhere to the Texas Physical Therapy Practice Acts and Rules.

Education

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
