Job summary

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Maryland seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist for the Acute Care department. You will evaluate patients, plan and implement customized therapies, and document outcomes across the care continuum.

Responsibilities include educating patients, families and staff, contributing to clinical research and continuing education, and supporting the Medical Center’s mission of high-quality care. A PT degree and state licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Bachelor of Science, Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited academic program.
• Current State licensure as Physical Therapist required.
• AHA Healthcare Provider CPR required. 1 year of Physical Therapist experience required. Successful completion of clinical internships as required by the academic program.

Responsibilities

• Provides evaluation, program planning and treatment of patients referred to Physical Therapy.
• Provides documentation of the above and education to patients, families, hospital staff, and students.
• Participates in the enhancement of the profession, the facility, and one’s self by providing quality care, clinical research, and education.
• Ensures that all patients are helped to meet their maximum potential through quality care and input to medical management.
