Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Pharmacist to perform clinical and professional pharmaceutical work, including compounding and dispensing drugs and IV supplies. The role requires reviewing prescriptions for accuracy and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Current registration and/or license as a Pharmacist in state of practice required
  • One (1) year of experience working as a licensed pharmacist preferred
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

  • The Pharmacist performs clinical and professional pharmaceutical work in the compounding and dispensing of drugs and IV supplies.
  • The Pharmacist is responsible for reviewing prescriptions to ensure accuracy.
  • The Pharmacist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to plan, monitor, review and evaluate patient effectiveness and adverse effects.
  • The pharmacist provides information and advice regarding drug interactions and potential side effects as well as analyze prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance and to prevent excessive usage or harmful interactions.
