Job summary

Luminis Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care in an acute setting. You will assist with hygiene, mobility, vital signs, and daily care while collaborating with the health care team.

You may be trained to insert IVs on certain shifts; training validation will be documented on successful completion. A high school diploma/GED and CNA certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of CNA experience in acute care preferred.
• If serving as bilingual interpreter, certification in Medical Interpretation is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients, assisting with hygiene and comfort.
• Assists with admission, vital signs, and orientation to room.
• Supports discharge by assisting with dressing and transport.
• Participates in patient care, vital signs, intake/output and data collection.
• Reports changes in patient condition to the assigned nurse.
• Mentors new staff when needed and requested.
• Transports medications as needed per policy and procedure.
• Maintains supplies and equipment on the unit.
