The incumbent will perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy and specimen collection, with emphasis on patient comfort and safety. Training includes BLS within 60 days and basic computer use.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification within sixty (60) days of employment or transfer.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs, intake/output measurements, EKGs, glucometry, phlebotomy and specimen collection with accurate documentation.
• Follow treatment plans as directed by licensed personnel and ensure patient comfort.
• Assist in patient mobilization and safe care using appropriate body mechanics and equipment.
• Float to units as needed and communicate changes to the team.
• Restock supplies and participate in unit-based improvements and competencies.
