Baptist Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to collaborate with supervising physicians in the care of complex acutely ill patients, via in-person or telehealth encounters. The PA will conduct assessments, exams, and histories, order tests, create treatment plans, and educate patients and families, while integrating evidence-based practice and participating in quality initiatives across the system.

Experience in urgent or acute care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Masters.

Responsabilités

• Directly manages the care of complex acutely ill patients with supervising physician input, using face-to-face, telehealth or other communication methods.
• Performs patient assessments, physical examinations and documents medical history.
• Orders and interprets labs and diagnostics, develops treatment plans, prescribes regimens, and educates patients and families.
• Leads in code rescue/blue situations and coordinates patient care with the health system team.
