Job summary

Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, VA, is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our acute care team in a PRN capacity. We require 2 weekend shifts per month, 1 major and 1 minor holiday per year.

The OT will provide patient-centered evaluation and intervention to support discharge planning and functional recovery, with BLS and VA licensure required. A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy is required, and experience in acute care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• VA Occupational Therapist License required upon start.
• BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to department policies regarding evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicate effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts while completing all administrative tasks and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit.
• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols while performing re-evaluations and adjusting the treatment plan as needed.
• Selects evaluation and treatment methods appropriate to patients' diagnosis, age group, and physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
