Job summary

Provident Behavioral Health in Maryland seeks an Occupational Therapist to deliver comprehensive services in an acute care setting, including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation.

You will conduct evaluations with patients and families, set goals, adjust care plans, document care, mentor students, and collaborate with medical staff to ensure timely access to care and effective outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• State licensure in MD, DC, and/or VA as required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services in an acute care setting, including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation.
• Conduct evaluations, review history, assess and explain findings to patients and families, and involve them in goal setting.
• Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation results and patient presentation in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
• Adjust care plans as patient conditions change; document activities and manage discharge planning and follow-up.
• Maintain productivity, demonstrate flexibility and professionalism to ensure timely access to care; mentor students and support new staff/volunteers.
