Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate, plan, treat, and implement patient care according to AOTA standards and hospital policies. The role includes providing education to patients and caregivers, discharge planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold an OT degree from an accredited program, be licensed in the practicing state, and demonstrate flexibility to support various departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed OT in the state where practicing (eg. North Dakota)
• Graduate from an accredited OT program (bachelor's, master's or doctoral)
• Ability to manage a full patient caseload with documentation and billing responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Perform therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based interventions and educate patients and caregivers
• Discharge planning for a full patient caseload
• Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes
• Assist with administrative duties including documentation and scheduling
