Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide direct patient care on our acute care therapy team, working across locations including UAB Hospital and related clinics. You will collaborate with therapists, coordinate patient care, and support discharge planning at the bedside where appropriate.

This role requires graduation from an AOTA-accredited OTA program, current license or eligibility for Alabama, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an AOTA-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current licensure or eligibility to be licensed as an OTA in Alabama.
• Currently CPR certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a manager and therapists.
• Coordinate assignments of Rehab Techs, work-study students and volunteers, and assist with discharge planning.
