Job summary

Greater El Monte Community Hospital is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead the nursing unit, implementing policies and ensuring high-quality patient care. The role includes staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and fiscal stewardship within the department.

The candidate should hold a CA RN license, BSN preferred, and have five years of acute clinical experience with at least one year in administrative house supervision. BLS/ACLS/PALS/MAB certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN with concentration in nursing preferred.
• Five years of acute clinical experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of administrative house supervisor experience or equivalent.
• Current CA RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, MAB certifications.

Responsibilities

• Implement hospital and nursing department philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures and their effect on patient care.
• Assist divisional director in developing, implementing, and evaluating service programs for quality nursing and patient care.
• Monitor and maintain unit compliance with regulatory and hospital policy.
• Oversee the unit CQI program monitoring care quality.
• Maintain current license and knowledge of nursing care requirements for all patients on the unit.
• Identify problems and implement solutions with follow-through and communication.
• Foster a service consistent with patient care beliefs and shared management philosophy.
• Consult with patients/families through nurse requests and direct assessment.
• Ensure effective and efficient fiscal management of department operations.
