Sound Physicians is hiring an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for the Chillicothe, Ohio area to cover both day and night shifts. The nocturnist role is overnight and requires comfort delivering high-quality patient care during nighttime hours.

The selected candidate will join a close-knit team at Adena Regional, working with Nocturnists and subspecialty support. Board-certified, Acute Care trained NPs with inpatient experience and US work authorization are essential.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Nurse Practitioner required.
• Acute Care trained; Family Medicine training not acceptable.
• Minimum 1 year inpatient hospitalist experience required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Handle admissions and care coordination.
• Perform cross-coverage calls.
• Work independently alongside Nocturnist physicians.
• No clinical procedures required in this role.
• Utilize EPIC for electronic medical records.

We are hiring a daytime and a nocturnist position. This nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Local Team Collaboration:

• Join our close-knit team of 20 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers at Adena Regional in Chillicothe.
• Work alongside Nocturnists and full subspecialty support.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner.
• Must be Acute Care trained - will not accept Family Medicine training.
• Prior Hospitalist experience required – Must have at least 1 year of inpatient experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling:

• Day shift is from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Night shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Admissions.
• Cross Coverage Calls.
• Nurse Practitioner works independently alongside Nocturnist physicians.
• No procedures are required in this role.
• Utilize EPIC as the electronic records system (EMR).
