Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a non-physician healthcare provider specializing as an NP Intensivist Medicine. The role delivers direct patient care in critical care settings, handles admissions and discharges, and performs procedures within supervisory scope.

The Advanced Practice Provider works under a supervising physician and provides patient care with prescriptive authority, including rounding and on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program.
• RN licensure in Texas; APRN license as required.
• BLS/ACLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Certification as an APRN for patient population focus (ACNP-BC/ACNPC-AG/NNP-BC).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients through physical exams and histories.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and implement treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team.
• Provide patient and family counseling on health topics.
• Maintain patient records and coordinate referrals.
• Provide consultation for conditions related to specialty.
• Perform invasive procedures within scope of practice.
• Support rounds, admissions, discharges, and on-call duties.
