Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas seeks a Nurse Practitioner to provide direct patient care in specialty clinics. The NP will have prescriptive authority, be credentialed and billed as an independent provider, and collaborate with supervising physicians.

Field areas include Palliative Care, Pulmonary, Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, and more. Requires Texas NP license, BLS, and APRN certification; 2 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Two years of clinical experience preferred.
• Current Texas Nurse Practitioner license and APRN certification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients with comprehensive or problem-focused examinations and histories.
• Orders, collects, interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Prescribes therapies and implements treatment plans.
• Counsels patients and families on medications, nutrition, and health promotion.
• Maintains patient records and coordinates care with the physician and team.
